Broadly, my research focuses on understanding how adult learners encode and retain second language (L2) knowledge. In particular, I examine the impact of instructional types (e.g., incidental, intentional) and pedagogical strategies (e.g., modes of input) on language acquisition. Regarding knowledge retention, I am interested in how sleep-related memory consolidation processes influence language learning and development of different types of L2 knowledge (i.e., explicit and implicit).
